Common Grid Model Exchange Standard (CGMES) Library

The CGMES Library contains all the documents approved by ENTSO-E or IEC for the harmonisation and implementation of standards related to CGMES in both system operation and system development areas. Therefore provided documentation enables exchanges for the data necessary for regional or pan-European grid development studies, and for system operation processes required from the network codes. Quality Of CGMES Datasets and Calculations v4.1 has been published

General restructure of the CGMES Library packages:As agreed by the CIM Working Group on 25 September 2024, the 7 former IEC tabs have been revamped into 3 tabs: Common Grid Model Exchange Standard (CGMES) v2.4, Common Grid Model Exchange Standard (CGMES) v3.0 and Dynamics: IEC 61970-302 and IEC 61970-457. Consequently, the Common Grid Model Building Process and System Development TYNDP tabs are now referring to the CGMES v2.4 tab.

Publication of the Network Code Profiles patch release 2.3.1 and Metadata for Dataset Distribution Data Exchange:We are pleased to announce that the patch release 2.3.1. of the Network Code Profiles are now published on the CGMES Library. In this release, ENTSO-E adapts the related artifacts and profiles’ specifications of the Network Codes profiles after the standard-vetting interoperability (SV-IOP) test held in July 2024. Especially, the Metadata for Dataset Distribution Specification v2.4 and the Security Analysis Result profile specification 2.4 got minor updates and not only patch fixes. This was necessary for the proper harmonisation of the ENTSO-E material.

Network Code profiles extension to CGMES for Regional Coordination Processes release 2.3 are now published:For release 2.3.0, ENTSO-E corrected the name of the artifacts for better comprehension. Please, refer to the latest version of the Application Profiles Library (version 1.0.1 at the moment of writing) and its documentation for more help on how to use all the machine understandable Common Grid Model Exchange Standard (CGMES) and Network Code (NC) CGMES extensions.
