ENTSO-E releases its draft Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Implementation Report 2021-2025 for public consultation until 2nd August.

ENTSO-E RDI Implementation Report 2021 – 2025 will be the guiding instrument for the collaborative research programme of transmission system operators (TSOs) in the coming five years. The report prioritizes the goals outlined in the ENTSO-E RDI Roadmap 2020 – 2030.

As presented by Hakon Borgen, ENTSO-E Research, Development & Innovation Committee Chair, during the InnoGrid10th event on 4 June 2021, the networks are playing a core role to ensure the energy transition. It is important to accelerate the development of RDI projects.

The RDI Implementation Report lays out twelve project concepts to be prioritized and initiated by TSOs in collaboration with key stakeholders and supported by policy makers and regulatory authorities in the coming years. These projects come at a pivotal time, when the European Green Deal is taking form with integrated energy systems and smart electrification at its core.

We are seeking input from all stakeholders on this collaborative research programme of TSOs in the coming five years. ENTSO-E welcomes your comments and motivated suggestions.
