ENTSO-E welcomes all interested stakeholders to a workshop on the Ten-Year Network Development Plan (TYNDP): past, present, future. The workshop will take place in Brussels and online, on 27 March 2025. Join us to discuss the planning of Europe’s energy infrastructure for the European energy transition.

The Ten-Year Network Development Plan (TYNDP) 2024 is a biennial European electricity infrastructure development plan that aims to provide a European-wide vision of the future power system, focusing on how cross-border power transmission and storage can facilitate the energy transition in a cost-effective, secure, and environmentally sound manner. The legal framework behind the TYNDP is set by Regulation (EU) 2022/869 on guidelines for trans-European energy infrastructure (‘TEN-E Regulation’).

On 31 January 2025 ENTSO-E released the draft TYNDP 2024, showing the strategic electricity infrastructure investments that ensure that Europe’s energy system can meet the EU’s and Member States energy and climate targets for 2030, 2040, and 2050 while providing a positive impact on system costs. In parallel, the preparation of TYNDP 2026 is ongoing, with the building of scenarios and the consultation of the planned scope of studies and of the stakeholder engagement plan.
