The Clean Energy for all Europeans and more specifically Regulation 2019/943 of 5 June 2019 on the internal market for electricity, places resource adequacy in a central position in the European energy policy context. As per Article 23 of the Electricity Regulation, ENTSO-E is required to develop a methodology for a European resource adequacy assessment, a methodology for calculating the value of lost load, the cost of a new entry in generation and/or demand response and for a reliability standard, based on objective and verifiable criteria.
Two public consultations on these methodologies took place between 5 December and 30 January 2020 and gathered feedback from more than 50 stakeholders across Europe.
Ahead of finalising the methodologies for submission to ACER, ENTSO-E is organising a stakeholder webinar to provide an overview on the feedback received during the stakeholder consultations on the adequacy methodologies and to explain relevant changes resulting from the consultations as well as the next milestones.
When and where:
17 April, 11am to 1pm CET
