ENTSO-E values the cooperation with ACER and believes ACER accurately identifies the most significant trends and challenges for electricity markets in Europe.

However, ENTSO-E encourages ACER to concentrate more effort on coordinating with NRAs to find solutions on key issues, such as network code implementation and speeding up cross-border infrastructure development, which can potentially impact the successful and complete implementation of the Internal Energy Market (IEM).

In this same light, ENTSO-E does not agree that ACER’s ambition to introduce ‘regulatory oversight’ of the ENTSOs will add any positive contribution to achieving European energy objectives.
